Sales & Design Team
Born in Pretoria, Martin completed his Bachelor’s in Business Management through UNISA before opening the Easylife Kitchens Tygervalley branch in 2004. Combining business expertise with a strong creative flair, his attention to detail and commitment to quality helped grow the showroom into an award-winning, top-performing franchise in the Western Cape. Passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle, Martin is also a keen cyclist who enjoys spending time outdoors.

Retha studied law and previously worked in an academic environment before opening the Easylife Kitchens Tygervalley branch with her husband, Martin, in 2004. While she now focuses mainly on the administrative and financial side of the business, she still enjoys the creative process of bringing dream kitchens to life. Retha believes the foundation of Easylife Kitchens Tygervalley is built on integrity, respect and honesty.

Marcus has had a passion for design since receiving his first LEGO set as a child. He began his career in kitchen and furniture design in London during the early 1990s, working with leading German and French manufacturers. A dedicated modernist, Marcus enjoys creating sleek, functional spaces where practicality is just as important as aesthetics. As a keen amateur chef, he believes thoughtful functionality and attention to detail are essential in every kitchen design.

Donavon has been in the wood and cupboard industry for over 20 years. As storeman, he receives and dispatches all goods. He thus plays a crucial role in bringing your kitchen to life. Donovan is married with two kids, is a weekend DJ, enjoys playing pool and is a keen cook!

Adriaan has been in the kitchen industry for over 27 years. As he started off installing kitchens he has a particular eye for attention to detail and prides himself on designing kitchens that work. Adriaan has been working for Easylife kitchens for three years. He is the proud father of twins that keep him young and active.

Melandie is a Sales & Design Consultant at Easylife Kitchens Tygervalley Durbanville, known for her precision, attention to detail and passion for thoughtful design. She enjoys creating kitchens that are both visually striking and highly functional, with a strong focus on quality and practicality. Dedicated to delivering exceptional results, Melandie approaches every project with care and professionalism, taking pride in designing spaces her clients will enjoy for years to come.

Pieter’s career journey has ranged from telecommunications in London to farming in the Karoo, where his passion for making specialised biltong began. With 15 years in the kitchen fitting industry, he has been part of Easylife Kitchens Tygervalley since 2008, progressing from fitter to installation specialist. Known for his attention to detail and pride in his work, Pieter is dedicated to delivering high-end installations that create lasting “wow” moments for clients.

Marahwaan has been in the carpentry industry for 30 years! He thrives on installing kitchens, vanities, TV units and much more. Marahwaan’s goal is that every client is happy with his workmanship and bringing their dream kitchens to life! When he’s not installing the perfect kitchen, Marahwaan can be found enjoying time with his three daughters and training Welsch horses to participate in shows.

Kashief has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, with more than 10 years specialising in carpentry. He joined Easylife Kitchens Tygervalley – Durbanville in 2023 and is known for his perfectionism, craftsmanship and attention to detail. Passionate about quality work, he believes in “doing it right the first time”. Outside of work, Kashief enjoys spending time with his wife and children and sharing his love for rugby with his sons.
